Water softeners
Water softener units are installed in most dishwashing machines or can be attached to the water supply of most premises. They contain a resin bed that needs to be regularly flushed with salty water, otherwise known as brine, which is stored in the unit’s brine tank.
You need to:
- regularly check the salt levels in the brine tank, and
- make sure that no salt water enters the dishwashing machine during flushing.
